I've always loved the healthcare field, but I wasn't a doctor or a nurse. After becoming a professional fundraiser, I realized I could merge my passion for healthcare and fundraising together.

Everyone wants to make a difference. What bigger difference could you make then helping further healthcare? Everyone is affected by healthcare in some way, shape or form. While I may not be a skilled surgeon or a bedside nurse, I can use my philanthropic gifts to make an impact in the medical community every day.

When I was 18 years old, a freshman in college, I was working for a nonprofit and was told if I wanted to get a paycheck, I would have to fundraise for it. I went out, found donors and asked for money. I haven't stopped fundraising since.

Family and Faith. My wife and two sons are why I work so hard.

Don't find your identity in your work. You can be really successful at your job while still having balance in your life.
