Healthcare philanthropy is in a constant state of flux: be that due to external factors (such as a global pandemic), or recognition of new standards and best practices with increasing access to better, more actionable data, it is imperative that groups are equipped with the knowledge of what has changed, and also what you can do about it. AHP’s State of the Union series addresses current events which have impacted the healthcare landscape broadly, with specific focus areas so groups can hear about those topics which are most relevant to them.
Philanthropy in Uncertain Times
Who among us at the beginning of this year had any idea how different our lives, our work, and our focus would be given the impact of COVID-19? With all the uncertainty we face, what do we know about fundraising in crises? What do we know about healthcare fundraising right now, and what can we expect in the future? How have hospitals around the country adapted in order to be successful in this brave new world? The “Philanthropy in Uncertain Times” State of the Union will review what AHP is hearing from its members, what AHP is seeing in its own data, and what we’re all learning about how to navigate these very uncertain times.
Performance Benchmarking
Benchmarking is invaluable in highlighting successes and illuminating areas of opportunity. In addition to an overview of the current state-of-affairs in healthcare philanthropy, the performance benchmarking presentations will highlight some simple ways to use benchmarking and AHP’s Report on Giving (RoG) to identify where additional investment would have the most significant impact. AHP has drawn specific insights out from the 2019 Report on Giving to ensure you are seeing the most meaningful data, accommodating the following different types of organization:
- Health Systems
- Academic Medical Centers
- Standalone/Community Hospitals
