In March 2020, as the first restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic were being implemented, the AHP Foundation Board of Trustees met via conference call to review the applications received for the 2020 AHP Foundation and the Hospital Development and Education Fund (HDEF) of Canada scholarships. Due to the uncertainty of the times, the Foundation Board allowed the recipients to use the award towards a 2020 or 2021 conference.
