University of Alberta,
Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

In the last 12 months, Nana has secured over $2.5 million in philanthropic contributions to support health research initiatives that will benefit patient care in Alberta and beyond. This includes her first $1 million gift that was closed in support of Alzheimer's research at the University of Alberta.

She provided key support for the World’s Longest Hockey Game, which raised more than $1.1 million for the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

Nana is an active volunteer, serving organizations like the Health Quality Council of Alberta, the New Edmonton Hospital Project, and Cancer Control Alberta.

She has also served on the board of directors of the Connect Society, a nonprofit organization designed to meet the needs of families affected by hearing loss.

Fun Fact:

"I am a CODA (child of deaf adults).

So I grew up learning how to go into a room and speak to anyone which probably is a great skill to have as a fundraiser.

But I also think my upbringing has highlighted to me the inequalities that can exist in accessing healthcare if English is not your primary language."
