2022 40 Under 40 Winners

Brian has personally solicited and secured more than $50 million in gift revenue.

He is a longtime mentor for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, helping grow the next generation of advancement professionals.

Brian volunteers for the Rowan-Salisbury Schools Career and Technical Education board, where he helped create the Rowan Bridges to Healthcare program. This initiative will provide paid internships and mentorships in healthcare for a cohort of 20 students from underserved backgrounds.

He holds an MBA from Marshall University and has completed executive education coursework from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

My passion for healthcare philanthropy has come from first hand experience of great clinicians and providers in my family's greatest time of need. I first worked in health related non-profits including the American Cancer Society and then moved into the healthcare philanthropy space. 

Our healthcare systems impact each and everyone of us and I love being able to make a real difference in saving lives and improving the health of our communities. 

Early on in my career in non-profit work, the first time that I was able to connect a donor to a meaningful project and help them bring their philanthropic vision to reality was a game changer. The satisfaction of getting to be a part of connecting them to a project that impacted the lives of local children was incredibly fulfilling and something that you don't get to experience in other lines of work.  

My greatest passion is my faith and my family. As a Christian, we are called to take care of the sick and the poor,  that is what drives me to put so much effort into making a real difference in our world in any way I can. Whether that be teaching Sunday school, coaching youth hockey, or working to fund a project to address health equity,
